Batoka Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme
Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 175m high roller compact gravity arch dam and two 1,200MW capacity hydro power generation plants and associated transmission infrastructure on both sides (Batoka North and South)
The objective of the project is to improve access to electricity services to the two contracting states and the region by the construction of the Batoka Hydroelectric Scheme Project
