Integrated Textile Profiles

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Sudan is known to have extensive land suitable for agriculture, with the River Nile being a continuous irrigation source. The country is famous for high quality cotton varieties. It thus has potential for textile manufacturing and is planning to establish a new textile mill.

Sudan is an open economy, and its government has been taking various pro-active initiatives to improve the textile industry, although most of the industry is in private hands. The project depends on the rehabilitation of textile factories.

It aims to raise production capacity in textile production from fibres to ready made garments (spinning, weaving, knitting, dying and finishing clothing) and achieving the highest efficiency in adding value to local cotton.
