Project Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The business project consists of eight private sector shareholders from South Africa and Malawi. It involves the manufacturing of various types of fertilizers that Malawi has specified for farmers in the country, and distributing these through all the depots (1,030) run by the Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) in terms of an MOU that was signed between the parties.

Objective
The project aims to provide smallholder farmers in Malawi and countries in eastern and southern Africa with affordable and effective fertilizer technology.

Lumbadzi, Lilongwe, Malawi

AVAILABILITY OF PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDIES/ FEASIBILITY STUDIES, AND OTHER STUDIES:

The technical feasibility documents have been completed by the Project Developer/ Promoter.

INVESTMENT REQUIRED

USD 1,600,000 required from international investors as a 5-7-year production loan, repayable in the same year.

Commodity financing of USD 34,740,188 in the first 1-2 years, financed by international investors.
