PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Agriculture accounts for about 22% of Kenya’s GDP and employs over 70% of the population. There are more than 4.3 million registered farmers. Kenya relies on the importation of fertilizer. The average fertilizer consumption per hectare is 65.2kgs and the projected annual growth rate stands at 5.92%. The project seeks to meet this demand and reduce production costs.
