Project Description
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project involves the development of a milk processing value chain that includes collection, processing, packaging and marketing of raw milk and dairy products. The primary objective of the project is the purchase of new technology to enable the Co-operative Union to improve and upscale its production and processing system.
Currently, the Union is producing about 3,000 litres of pasteurised milk, yoghurt and lacto sour milk on a weekly basis using manually operated machinery. This makes it difficult to meet the current demand for the dairy products in Luanshya.
