African Export-Import Bank plans to open a regional center in Tunis

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) plans to open a regional center in Tunis, said its president, Benedict Oramah, during a meeting held in Tunis, with Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Fethi Zouhair Nouri. «This opening will mark a new era of cooperation with Tunisia,» said the official, stressing the strategic importance of this initiative to consolidate ties with the country, the BCT said, Wednesday, in a statement. The head of the African bank underscored that the discussions highlighted a common vision for the future, with a particular emphasis on the energy transition and the preservation of the human capital of African countries. He spoke of a common will to boost bilateral relations and develop strategic partnerships, adding that “relations with Tunisia are in a positive dynamic of cooperation which will be enhanced.”
