Cattle Feed & Supplement Manufacturing
Project Description
The project will establish a 60,000 MT/year livestock feed facility in Nakasongola, including an R&D lab, packaging and distribution units, and on-site production of key inputs like maize and soy. It will supply nutritionally optimized feed to Uganda’s domestic market and export premium products to East Africa and China, positioning Nakasongola as a strategic agribusiness hub.
With over 14.5 million cattle in Uganda, but less than 30% of farmers using commercial feed, demand is projected to grow at a 12.8% CAGR through 2030, driven by climate-related forage shortages and regional food deficits.
