Africa 2017 Forum: Business for Africa and the World


COMESA RIA and the Egyptian Government represented by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation successfully convened the highest-level and most attended business and investment Africa-to-Africa forum this year; Africa 2017 forum: Business for Africa and the World. Africa 2017, held under the high patronage of H.E. Abdel Fatah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, from the 7th to the 9th December 2017 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Africa 2017 aimed to accelerate private sector engagement and investment within Africa, to help develop new ties and partnerships, and to highlight the African opportunity. It provided a much-needed platform for the public and private sector to network, discuss, and advance African business projects.

Africa 2017 welcomed a wide range of delegates from Africa and the rest of the world including H.E. Alpha Condé President of Guinea and current chair of the African Union, H.E President Alassane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoire, H. E. Paul Kagame President of Rwanda, H.E Mohamed  Abdullahi President of Somalia, 2nd Vice President of Burundi, Prime Minister of Chad, Prime Minister of Mozambique and Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia, in addition to 45 honourable ministers from the continent, and 2,000 participants from 75 countries and 600 companies from the public and private sectors.
